Hey guys, an update here-

Staking and Poker- Staking has been going great. October had sort of a bad ending but overall I still had a winning month. The last few weeks have been tremendous and my players have all been playing very well. I’ve also picked up a few new guys, all of whom are doing excellently in our system/stable. It’s been a long road, but I’m glad I took this path and I’m very happy with where I am at and the people who I work with. We still have a ton of work to do with our stables (we need to format our site/keep working to add new sites to our list/etc) and I think that we will get there.

I’m still mulling the idea of playing some poker myself. While there’s always a part of me that will enjoy the game, I’m not quite sure if I have the same passion as I once did. Like anything else, you need to be hungry and obsessive in order to succeed. Although I think I could still win at small stakes, I know it would take me a while to get back in the swing of things and I would have to study a fair bit to get back into it. I’ve been debating playing some live poker as well.

Life- Life has been normal. My injured finger still is not healed so I haven’t really been able to climb much at all. My overall work outs have been slowed lately with me being slightly sick, which sucks. I’m excited for the holidays though and spending time with family is always nice.

I’m in the process of buying parts for a new computer. I have pretty much all components purchased and am just waiting to buy a case. It’s probably going to be a big pain in the ass to build it, but I’m hoping the learning experience will be worth it. Building a computer is always much cheaper than buying stock, so hopefully I can continue to do this in the future. I think all in all, I’ll be spending about $650-$700 for this computer (I already have a monitor) and it *should* be a very solid computer.

Trip wise, I’m hoping to go somewhere in the spring for a climbing trip. Longer term, I know I want to do some backpacking/hiking/climbing this summer and I am thinking about going to Longs Peak in Colorado. In August, my family and extended family are all going on a cruise to Alaska.

All in all, life is good. I have no complaints and I’m quite happy now. Long term, I think I’ll eventually want to work in the gaming industry (in some capacity). We’ll see though!
