So we lost our first playoff game this past Sunday. Was going to rant about it on here the day of but was too fucking pissed off. I attribute our loss to a few things-

-penalties. We probably had about 15 penalties for illegal contact, etc…tons of retarded ass penalties that pretty much gave the other team the win. I still have a theory that the refs were rigged against us because the QB on the other team is a ref himself (and friends with alot of them). But whatever. Bottom line is that we pretty much gave them every touch down.

-cockiness- I tried to downplay our past success for this game. Teams in the playoffs are always much better than those we face during the regular season. For whatever reason, some of our guys thought we were all world or something (when in reality we were obviously far from it). We came out flat, didn’t play.

-Lack of execution- We threw two significant picks, one on our opening drive…unacceptable.We blew a few tackles, let up a deep pass.

I really wasn’t happy on sunday…still pisses me off just thinking about it now. They were a good team, but they weren’t any better than some of the teams we’ve faced in the past. We just fucking killed ourselves and that’s the bottom line. It pisses me off that something that I (and the team) worked so hard for evaporates in such a short amount of time…and that’s it, no more, done. I’ve concluded my college career with being a loser in flag football, fucking pathetic.

our omaha team won though, so that’s good. I at least have that season to still look forward to. We’re like 5-2 or something along those lines and our full line up is very good. We’ve been debating moving some people around to see how it’d work out (i was thinking about playing DL, a position that i think i would do well at).

anyways, school has been going pretty shittastic lately. same old shit i suppose…hopefully i graduate this semester. my wines class ended in devastating failure, and i had to write “please pass me” on the back of my final. meh…

Anyways, UF football has been crushing. finally finished a complete game for the first time in weeks (though the D looked pretty mehhhh at times). i plan on going to atlanta in the SEC championship with dbc in december, so looking forward to that. might go to pasadena as well for the NC game, which would be alot of fun.
